We love riddles
--English Riddle game of Grade 4
More English is more fun! The ninth English festival of Bao’An Experimental School has come, we grade four have prepared some activities like making English posters, drawing mind maps, playing dramas on the stage etc. But the most popular one is the Riddle game. Along the corridors there are lots of riddles hanging on colourful cards, they draw great attentions and attract many admiring eyes.
During the break between every two classes, children seize the chance to read and think there. Sometimes they just think quietly, sometimes they discuss warmly. And every now and then, we can hear some exciting shouting, “I got it!” It’s from the children who have finally worked out the puzzles and got the answers. They run to the teachers’ office and answer the riddles. They get rewarded for every good answer. Happily, they smile and run to the riddles again. Hopefully another answer would soon come out.
We are now living in an open society with globalized economy and cultures. As China opens her arms to the outside world, there will be more and more international communication. English, as a universal language, plays a very important role in these events. So, we always try to provide more chances for children to show off their talents in learning and using English. With the children’s attendance involving in these activities, the carnival of English becomes even more colorful!
